Great events at Campuses across the US!

"Mic Check: The Hip Hop Generation Has Something to Say.” A panel featuring Clyde Williams, Professor S. Craig Watkins, Professor Mark Anthony Neal, Manju Rajendran and Damien Jackson. How has hip hop culture affected the layers of social change in America? Is hip hop today's civil rights movement? Were the efforts of such organizations like Citizen Change a beginning of a political movement or simply a trend during election year? What responsibilities do artists and entertainers have in promoting political and social issues? Over the course of 20 years, hip hop has gone from being an inner city subculture to being a phenomenon that has saturated mainstream America while having an overwhelming global impact.
