CALL FOR ENTRIES - Idea Workshop, April 3

CALL FOR ENTRIES - Idea Workshop, April 3
Submission Deadline March 17

Open Pitch at the next Idea Workshop

DocuClub’s Idea Workshop is an intimate pitching session where accepted filmmakers pitch their ideas to industry representatives who, in turn, provide feedback on the strength of the pitch (and often trailer) and the potential markets for the film's subject matter. Filmmakers can practice their pitch, industry reps get a first hand look at new projects, and the audience gets to learn about this all-important facet of documentary funding and production. This program always sells out and has recently included industry representatives from PBS, P.O.V., Sundance Channel, BRAVO, Showtime Networks, Magnolia Pictures, and Cinetic Media. A networking reception follows.

Our last Idea Workshop at the IFC Center was a huge success. We had a full house, 3 knowledgeable and caring industry executives and 3 exciting pitches. It is always hard to narrow the field down to only 3 pitches from the pool of great submissions we receive, so at our next Idea Workshop we will incorporate a slot for an “open pitch”. We will pull a name from a hat and that filmmaker will have 5 minutes to present their project to our esteemed panel.

Be one of the chosen three! We are currently accepting submissions for our next Idea Workshop scheduled for April 3.
