Exciting job opportunity for web designers!

Paper Tiger Television is looking for an intern who will completely redesign its website. For this position, we are seeking someone with experience in design and the programming skills necessary for making the site functional by the end of the internship. Intern will work with collective members and staff to come up with a design strategy and to collect content for the site. It is preferable that this intern could be available to come in on either Monday, Tuesday or Thursdays to work in the office alongside staff.

About us:

Paper Tiger Television is a non-profit volunteer-run media activist collective. Through the production of a public access series, video documentaries, community workshops and convening organizers and media makers, community screenings and grassroots advocacy PTTV works to strengthen alternative information resources and challenge the corporate control of mainstream media.

Internship Program:

Paper Tiger interns are integral to the operations of our small organization and through their work gain in depth experience in a wide range of activities including how to raise money for artistic projects, how to catalogue and archive video art, video distribution, film festival submission, community organizing, event planning, design, video editing, marketing and more.

Interns are expected to be self-driven individuals who can lead projects on their own and complete tasks independently. It is preferred that interns come into the office for at least a total of 8 hours per week. Interns are also required to attend monthly collective projects meetings, which take place at Paper Tiger’s offices from 7:30-9pm on the second Wednesday of each month.

Previous experience in the areas of the internship is not required.
