Truly CA Call For Entries: Deadline October 1

Working on a film with a California twist? KQED-San Francisco has launched a new documentary series where we partner with filmmakers to get their films completed and broadcast. Visit our web site for more details.

KQED Public Television in San Francisco seeks one hour documentaries about California for an exciting series called Truly CA: Our State, Our Stories. Filmmakers will be offered significant post production resources to complete broadcast versions of their films, including: an online, sound mix, closed captioning, promotion, a web site, plus a licensing fee and broadcast. Projects should be completed films, fine cuts, advanced rough cuts, or festival versions. Submissions must be postmarked no later than OCTOBER 1, 2006. In particular, this season Truly CA is looking for documentaries presenting diverse perspectives on and approaches to health issues faced by traditionally underserved communities in California.

Now independent producers of short documentaries (30 minutes or less) about California can distribute their films through Truly CA's newest series: Truly CA Shorts -- a web-only series for short documentaries.
