Announcing The International Journal of Volunteer Administration (IJOVA)

Connecting practitioners, academicians, and consultants in greater service to the global volunteer community.

The Editorial Board of The International Journal of Volunteer
Administration is pleased to announce the publication of Volume XXIV, Number 1.

The International Journal of Volunteer Administration (IJOVA)
is a peer-reviewed, professional publication of The Department of 4-H Youth Development and Family and Consumer Sciences at North Carolina State University. The IJOVA is a professional not-for-profit service of the Department in recognition of the critical role of professional managers of volunteers in mobilizing human resources to address serious human, community, and social needs through volunteerism.

Formerly published by the now dissolved Association for Volunteer Administration (AVA) and known previously as The Journal of Volunteer Administration, four on-line issues of Volume XXIV of The IJOVA will be published in 2006-2007:

July 2006 (Vol. XXIV, No. 1): Trends and Transitions

October 2006 (Vol. XXIV, No. 2): Volunteerism and Health Care (deadline for manuscripts: 18 August 2006)

January 2007 (Vol. XXIV, No. 3): Volunteerism and the Other Sectors (deadline for manuscripts: 2 October 2006)

April 2007 (Vol. XXIV, No. 4): Volunteerism and Holistic Community Development (deadline for manuscripts: 8 January 2006)

Thanks to the generosity of IMPACT: A Fund for Change Through
Volunteerism (i.e., The Volunteer IMPACT Fund, to which The UPS Foundation is a lead contributor), the four issues of Volume XXIV will be public domain, available free of charge to anyone with access to the Web.

Beginning in 2007, The IJOVA will move to a subscription only
Web-based publication. Subscription rates as of July 1, 2007 will
include an individual subscription rate of $40; and prorated
organizational subscriptions per member of $30 for 101-200 members, $20 for 201-500 members, $10 for 501-1500 members, and $5 for more than 1500 members.

The current issue of The International Journal of Volunteer
