Why Dance? nominated for "DVD Awards with Leonard Maltin"

THE 9TH ANNUAL DVD AWARDS WITH LEONARD MALTIN ANNOUNCES “WHY DANCE? AS NOMINEE FOR AWARDS SHOW ON AUGUST 8TH AT THE HILTON LOS ANGELES/ UNIVERSAL CITY IN HOLLYWOOD!

The documentary "Why Dance?”, created and produced by local filmmaker Jim Manning and his wife Shely Pack-Manning, has recently been advised that their creation is a nominee for an award in the very prestigious “9th Annual DVD Awards with Leonard Maltin.” Maltin is best known for his involvement with “Entertainment Tonight” for over 24 years.

“Why Dance?” has been nominated in the “Documentary/ Educational” category and is up against four other formidable nominees including “Grizzly Man”; “Little Einsteins: Our huge Adventure”; “Punk-Attitude”; and “Rize”, all of which are produced by big studio’s or production companies like Lionsgate Home Entertainment and Buena Vista Home Entertainment (Disney).

The nominee list reads like a “Who’s Who”list of “A” players in Hollywood: Warner Home Video; Universal Studio Home Entertainment; Fox Home Entertainment; Buena Vista Home Entertainment; Lionsgate Home Entertainment; Paramount Home Entertainment; HBO Video; Sony Pictures Home Entertainment; New Line Home Entertainment; and Miramax, to name but a few.
