Machines Don't Cry
"Machines Don't Cry" is the latest full length animated film from independent filmmaker Romel Gallamoza. It is an adaptation of Mike Resnick's "Robots Don't Cry", a 2004 Hugo Award nominated short story. With the author's permission, Romel completed the film in less than six months, thanks to his use of Dakine Wave's VirtualStage.
Hundreds of years into the future, two treasure hunters explore an abandoned world in the hope of finding anything with great value to feed their greedy appetites. They find a robot, Sammy, that they believe could lead them to riches. However, the treasure hunters discover that Sammy is not merely a machine. But does the information Sammy reveals lead them to greater fortune?
