Action Against Hunger Seeks Food Security Officer - Lebanon

Basic Position Description

To assess the food security situation of the population affected by the crisis in Lebanon, to propose and implement food security activities. The Food security officer will be part of the team already mobilized in Lebanon and will be in charge of the coordination of the food security assessment, identification and planning of activities in the different areas to be determined.

Qualifications

-Technical profile and technical experience in food security.
-MINIMUM three years of work in humanitarian aid organizations in the field.
-Demonstrable experience in intervention in emergencies in Food security projects (food aid + Rehabilitation).
-Experience with NGO's in conflict contexts.
-Experience within exploratory missions and rapid assessment.
-Strong capacity for analysis, good adaptation, communication and team work skills.
-Autonomy and capacity to manage stressful situations.
-Availability to start and travel at short notice.
-Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
