Continental Drift International Short Film Festival
Continental Drift International Short Film Festival Opens on September 29th
Join us for a Press Conference Monday, September 18th, 12 noon at Happinez Wine Bar, 42 Princess St. Bring your brown bag lunch. Press Kits and Media Feed are available.
For the third year Continental Drift International Short Film Festival will feature independent short films from around the world. Held at the Mary Oland Theatre, New Brunswick Museum, 1 Market Square, from September 29th-October 1st, this year’s festival showcases local film-makers. During the three day festival audiences will be exposed to films from around the world and works by local talents such as: Tim McDonough, Richard McQueen, Steven Doiron, Brendan Mittleholtz and Gretchen Kelbaugh.
Promoting diversity, youth and fun in film is one of the festival’s highest priorities. The festival committee is pleased to present, for the second year, a free screening of films focused on kids and youth, at the Mary Oland Theatre, on Saturday September 30th at 12noon. Everyone is welcome.
Everyone can participate! The Mini Movie Festival, being held in partnership with Third Space Gallery, promises to be exciting. Mini movies include any low-quality digital videos created with either a digital still camera or camera phone. Create your movie, submit it to the festival, and then bring your friends to watch all the films made by people in your local community! The free screening will take place at Third Space gallery, October 1st, 42 Princess St.
