Photo Exhibition: GOLDEN STATES OF GRACE: Prayers of the Disinherited

A new photo-based multi-media exhibit documenting 11 marginalized communities at prayer premieres in CA this month. From the elderly to the executable, groups such as Zen Buddhists in San Quentin Prison, a halfway house for recovering Jewish Addicts, to a Hindu Ashram catering to HIV+ devotees are given voice thourhg photos, audio and text.

Issues of who "belongs" in our society and how the disinfranchised find faith, family and community are examined. This is an art, humanties and social justice-themed touring exhibit available for museums, cultural centers and universities.
