FULL-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER
Founded in 1972, Women Make Movies is a non-profit feminist, media arts organization dedicated to the distribution and exhibition of films and videotapes by and about women. With a collection of more than 500 titles, WMM is the largest distributor of films and videotapes by and about women in the world. WMM also facilitates the production of feminist media through a production assistance program, which includes a workshop series, seminars, and a fiscal sponsorship program. Women Make Movies is seeking a full-time Administrative/Business Manager to join our senior management team; this person will manage the administrative and business operations of a thriving and busy 14-person office.
Responsibilities Include:
* Human Resources administration, including the management, recruitment, and retention of staff, and the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
* Supervision of IT infrastructure, ensuring that systems are fully functional and coordinating with IT consultants as needed.
* Supervision of floor operations, including oversight of lease negotiations, tenant relations, and other occupancy-related issues.
* Supervision of three-person administrative team and oversight of general office management.
* Working with the Executive Director to strategically plan for the future, including the development of operational plans, staff work plans, and budget projections.
* Assisting the Executive Director with development activities, including financial and fiscal reporting.
Skills, Qualifications and Other Requirements:
* 3-5 years of progressive, management-level responsibility in a women's or arts organization, the film industry, or a related nonprofit field
* Excellent financial, budgeting, and operations management skills
* Proven experience in program or institutional management
* Ability to design and implement organizational systems using available technology
* Ability to prioritize and problem-solve while handling multiple tasks, supervising, and managing the work of others
* Superior written and verbal communication skills
* Flexibility, professionalism, and a positive attitude
