Sundance Fest '07: Community Voice and Social Networking

How does social networking and user-generated content affect a community's relationship to media and technology, and what does this mean for independent thinkers and filmmakers?

If your going to Sundance, come hear Arts Engine's Executive Director, Katy Chevigny speak on the panel, Community Voice and Social Networking.

When: Monday January 22, 12 Noon

Where: MacroCinema, New Frontier on Main

About:

Social networking and user-generated content are hallmarks of a new  interaction between community and technology that is changing the way we organize and define ourselves. Driven by tech-savvy youth and the promotion of self, a new computer-based “clip culture” is changing the way we think about media and it’s role in society. What does this mean for individuals, filmmakers, and businesses alike?
