BLACK MAN LYNCHED BY AN ALL WHITE JURY IN MACON, GA

MACON GA 12/7/06 TRIAL DATE
My son was convicted by an all white jury of armed robbery. This was not a jury of his peers, there were no Afro-American or any ethnic group selected in the jury process. During the jury selection process there were only two Afro-Americans out of 39 people selected for jury duty and they were not selected. My son was sentenced for 20 yrs with no priors and he is a disabled veteran. Is this legal and fair? We had a court appointed lawyer who showed overwhelming evidence of reasonable doubt. During the trial there was only circumstantial evidence brought against my son. The surveillance camera showed another individual and the tellers initially did not identify my son in the first two line-ups. My son was not identified until his first court appearance and by that time the media had his face posted everywhere. There were other suspects apprehended for the same case and were eventually released. The prosecution tried denying the allegation until the defense presented the facts of the other suspects. The witnesses for the prosecution had conflicting stories on what they seen or what happened. This is a usual occurrence in this area. I just want justice for my son and anyone else who may fall victim to this prejudice legal system. The Prosecutor also discreetly threw in the fact that my son is a Yankee, which had nothing to do with the trial. Prosecutors behavior was disgusting, despicable, vulgar, and completely unprofessional. The judge allowed this mockery of a trial to proceed without saying a word.

Please help me with appeal referrals, information, or whatever that can be done. Time is of the essence. The media needs to expose the Jim Crow justice system here in Macon, Ga and all through the South!!

God Bless You !
