March: Urban Visionaries Film Festival & Media Expo
This year, MNN Youth Channel is proud host the Urban Visionaries Media Expo., a free day of workshops teaching aspiring young voices the low down on making good media.
The UV Media Expo will be held:
Saturday, March 24th, 10am-4pm
The Manhattan Neighborhood Network open studio
537 West 59th Street, New York (b/t 10th and 11th Ave)
Urban Visionaries Film Festival is New York's only film festival produced, promoted, and presented by youth.
The festival provides young people with a forum to discuss social, cultural, and political issues through the exhibition of media produced by people their own age.
Through Urban Visionaries, youth challenge their peers to become active participants in their schools, communities and in the media.
