Chicago International Documentary Festival
March 30 - April 8, 2007
Chicago International Documentary Festival is a premier festival of documentary films in the U.S. The thought-provoking 10-day film event established in 2003 is dedicated to the celebration and cultivation of the documentary film. Our eclectic programming is designed to extend appreciation of the art of documentary film and its unique power to inspire and communicate a world of ideas and cultures. Over $ 50,000 in unrestricted cash plus other prizes are awarded by the jury.
CIDF is presented by the Society for Arts, a non-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization which depends on contributions from individuals, businesses and government to make the program possible.
