In a post-screenning conversation with Village Voice film critic Ed Halter, director Kazuo Hara and screenwriter Sachiko Kobayashi discuss their controversial documentaries and transition into fictional feature filmmaking. Since 1972, Hara and his longtime partner Kobayashi have been working together on making ground-breaking documentaries such as Goodbye CP (1972), Extreme Private Eros: Love Song 1974 (1974), The Emperor’s Naked Army Marches On (1987) and A Dedicated Life (1994).
