You may have seen the 8min version of ASPARAGUS! (A Stalk-umentary) as one of the sixth annual Media That Matters Film Festival winners last year.

Come see the feature length version of ASPARAGUS! (A Stalk-umentary) for free in NYC this Saturday -- and it's outdoors on the beach...! What's not to love?

And this is a FOOD film festival, so come for dinner! There’s a special asparagus menu and Harry’s food is inexpensive and really yummy but you must buy your food tickets in advance at tickets -- do it soon because supplies are limited! The beach’s regular bar and concession stand will also be open all night (FYI no outside food or drink allowed).

TAKE THE BOAT: Meet us on 34th Street at the East River at 5:45 p.m. and we’ll take the Water Taxi out to this amazing urban beach, where the evening will be spent hanging out, eating grilled asparagus and Motz Burgers, drinking ice-cold beers while the sun sets over the fabulous Manhattan skyline! Water Taxi Beach is located at Hunter’s Point in Long Island City, just one stop (a $5 ride) on the NY Water Taxi from East 34th Street http://www.nywatertaxi.com. The last water taxi leaves 34th Street at 6:17 p.m.

RIDE THE SUBWAY: (it’s about a ten-minute walk to the beach)

7 Train: [Vernon Blvd/Jackson Ave] 1 stop from Grand Central Station on the 7 Train. Go to the Jackson/Vernon Stop and walk on Jackson South West towards the Manhattan Skyline.

When you get near the Midtown Tunnel follow the signs for 495 West until you reach 51st Avenue. Turn right on 51st and walk to 2nd Street. Turn left on Second Street. Walk past the Crab House and the Tennis Port and then turn RIGHT into the driveway.

€ G Train: Use the 21st Stop. Exit on Jackson Ave. Look for the Manhattan Skyline; walk on Jackson South West towards the Manhattan Skyline. E Train: [23rd St/Ely Ave] -- When you exit your near the Citicorp Building. Walk on 23rd to Jackson Ave. Walk on Jackson South West towards the Manhattan Skyline. When you get near the Midtown Tunnel follow the signs for 495 West until you reach 51st Avenue. Turn right on 51st and walk to 2nd Street. Turn left on Second Street. Walk past the Crab House and the Tennis Port and then turn RIGHT into the driveway.
