Join the Scenarios USA Selection Committee!

Scenarios USA needs your help to select the winning submissions that will be turned into Hollywood-produced short films. Become a Selection Committee member and join hundreds of people from across the country who will read stories from the Scenarios USA "What's the REAL DEAL?" writing contest. This opportunity is open to young people and adults and will take approximately 90 minutes.

Who are our Selection Committee members?

The Scenarios USA Selection Committee is made up of people like you from across the country. It includes teachers, young people, community organizers, Scenarios USA film purchasers, business and non-profit leaders, media professionals, and health experts. Once the Selection Committee has narrowed the hundreds of entries down to just a few finalists, a Final Selection Committee meets to choose the three winning stories that are then transformed into short films that are shown on television, screened at film festivals and distributed to high schools nationwide. Each year an estimated 15 million people watch a Scenarios USA film.

About Scenarios USA

Scenarios USA is a non-profit organization that hosts an annual story, play and scriptwriting contest for youth ages 12-22. Hundreds of young people are currently writing about this year's contest topic: "What's the REAL DEAL about Masculinity?" The winning writers will be partnered with Hollywood directors to transform their stories into short films. The films will be made in the writers' hometowns, with professional film crews and the winners' teachers, family and peers helping out both in front of and behind the camera. Previous directors who have worked with Scenarios USA include Doug Liman, Michael Apted and Gina Prince-Bythewood.
