We want to tell you about two DVDs which are now available for mail ordering via the Media Giraffe Project website.

1. THE NEW PAMPHLETEERS -- 78 minutes

"The New Pamphleteers: Entrepreneurs, Watchdogs and Citizens in The Digital Age," is an informal video view of the motivations, operations and challenges faced by citizen-journalist entrepreneurs. It's told in the words of more than 44 participants and experts. It consists of key excerpts of the June-July 2006 first Media Giraffe Project (MGP) summit at UMass Amherst, as well as excerpts from a half dozen MGP interviews since 2005. Bill Densmore is the narrator.

2. THE STATE OF CITIZEN JOURNALISM -- 90 minutes

A thought-provoking, town-meeting-style discussion on "The State of Citizen Journalism," featuring seven experts and a 150-person participating audience is now available on DVD for researchers, citizen journalists, and for classroom use from the Media Giraffe Project. The 90-minute DVD is an edited, two-camera shoot of the opening event at "Journalism That Matters: The DC Sessions," held Aug. 7-8, 2007 at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

The DVD includes a narrative introduction and background video clips and still shots of the two-day convening.
