Feb. 9th: Delaware's First Annual Youth Media Summit, Dover, DE

Join us for a FREE day of workshops, forums and special media presentations, and learn how to better understand and safely harness the power of digital media.

AM SESSION:
Keynote, Workshops & LUNCH - 10am - 1pm

"Are you being had?" - Find out if you are truly media savvy, with our KEYNOTE SPEAKER, University of Delaware's Dr. Danilo Yanich.

Sign up to participate in the EDUCATORS' workshop on digital youth media production, presented by the Youth Media Learning Network, an initiative of NYC's renowned Educational Video Center. (Eligible for DOE professional development credits.) This session is open to everyone; church and community leaders are strongly encouraged to attend!

STUDENTS can take advantage of our youth media distribution workshop, led by leading organization Arts Engine, who also join us from NYC.

PM SESSION:
Forum & Showcase - 1pm to 3:30pm

Everyone, especially PARENTS and YOUTH, will benefit from staying or joining us at 1pm to attend our FORUM ON CHILD INTERNET SAFETY, brought to you by VERIZON, moderated by 6ABC Action News' Lauren Wilson, with participation from the Office of Attorney General Beau Biden, "the Internet Mom" Robin Raskin and worldwide internet safety leader i-SAFE. This event is open to the public, no registration required.

And EVERYONE will enjoy the Delaware Youth Media Showcase, when we'll get a chance to see what some young people are accomplishing at local schools and organizations. This event is also open to the public, no registration required.
