Mar. 13: Black Film Academy Benefit at MoCADA, Brooklyn, NY
Since our inception in September 2007, the Black Film Academy has received attention from numerous industry insiders including Abiola, the host of BET-J's "Best Short Films." In 2008, we look forward to screening our work in various film festivals and contests as we continue to produce films of substance.
The Black Film Academy is an organization dedicated to fostering a creative environment in which writers, producers, directors and actors work together to produce short films. Our organization represents an opportunity to redefine and diversify the "black film" genre.
Please join us at our March 13th benefit, Black Film Renaissance, at the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA)—8:00pm to 10:00pm—where we will premiere several short films, including Death Sentence, Broken Lives (which recently wrapped production in February 2008) and our music short film series.
