Film Arts Foundation needs $150,000 by May 31, 2008

The Film Arts Foundation has posted an announcement on their website about the launch of an emergency campaign to raise $150,000 by May 31, 2008.

This organization has "nurtured thousands of independent filmmakers across the country that rely on the resources Film Arts provides -- from fiscal sponsorship to educational programs to Film Arts, the magazine."

However, fewer foundations and government organizations are supporting media, especially independent. Film Arts is experiencing increasing debt, smaller cash flow, cut salaries and layoffs due to these factors.
