The Documentary Filmmakers Course, Los Angeles & San Francisco, CA

— Shane Harvey, Producer/Director, Vancouver
Documentary filmmaking is EXPLODING with new film makers winning Oscars, doing deals with broadcasters, selling DVD’s direct, and all with technology they could buy with a credit card. In short, making movies win major awards, reach audiences and make money...
We show YOU how to turn YOUR GREAT IDEAS into GREAT DOCUMENTARIES and start a career making movies, AND making money. Learn how to get your documentary MADE, what technology to use, how much it will cost, what makes a great subject that will transfer into market sales, the pitfalls, the shortcuts, all in a two day intensive seminar for documentary film makers.
This one off two day intensive seminar is run by the co-author of The Documentary Filmmakers Handbook — seasoned US Doc Film Maker Andrew Zinnes. He is a professional filmmaker who has worked in both the narrative and documentary arena for nearly two decades. His work has been seen on the MTV, PBS, BBC, ITV and Ch4. He has taught this class with universal success in London, LA, Denver and Vancouver.
Topics include: story, research, legal, production, post, film festivals, sales and distribution and a documentary workshop. All students receive a free guide on the Fair Use clause which could save you thousands in licensing fees.
