June 21: CineYouth Festival Green Screen & DIY Workshop, Chicago, IL
The CineYouth Festival screens films on environmental justice!
Youth environmental activists from YAOTL join Open Youth Networks Director Mindy Faber to demonstrate how they are using new digital media networks and DIY participatory culture tools (blogs, Google maps and social networking) to build awareness about environmental justice. The youth will screen their video, THE CLOUD FACTORY an official selection of CineYouth Festival. This film was funded by Adobe Youth Voices and Listen Up! as part of the international TV series BEYOND GREEN. The audience will then contribute their own digital content to the Environmental Justice multimedia map.
Join us for this highly energized and hands-on skill share session!
