Communications and Special Projects Manager
Cinereach is currently seeking a Communications and Special Projects Manager to be based in our New York City headquarters. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Communications and Special Projects Manager is responsible for the branding, outreach and external relations for Cinereach as well as conceptualizing, developing and managing Cinereach special projects.
Specifically, the Communications and Special Projects Manager is responsible for the following tasks:
I. Special Projects
• Conceptualize, develop and manage Cinereach special projects
• Secure sponsorships as appropriate
• Develop plans for and manage project marketing and publicity
• Manage design and development of collateral materials in
support of special projects and events
• Manage special event details (budget, guest lists, venue,
catering, program)
• Manage event/project follow-up, including evaluation of
event/project impact
• Hire and manage special projects and event support staff and consultants as needed
II. Communications (Online, PR, Marketing, Media Relations)
• Ensure overall accuracy and effectiveness of Cinereach Website
• Update Website content regularly
• Analyze, develop and expand Website design as necessary
• Gather and analyze site statistics
• Manage e-newsletter design, development and distribution
• Respond to all media inquiries
• Produce and distribute press materials
III. General Outreach
• Identify outreach and publicity opportunities for Cinereach
• Represent Cinereach at conferences, events, film festivals as
assigned
IV. Administrative
• Develop and manage budgets for each project and event
• Develop and manage budget for Communications and Special
Projects Department
The ideal candidate will have
• A minimum of 3 years progressive experience in
communications and special events, preferably for film or
media-related entities
• Proven track record in securing media coverage
• Demonstrated ability to design and manage innovative and
engaging events
• Detail-oriented, with a highly developed design sensibility for
print and web-based media
• Excellent proofreading, copywriting and oral communication
skills
• Proficiency with Macintosh and new media communications
tools
• Basic HTML skills a plus
• Solid organizational skills and ability to work both
independently and in teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced
environment
