Who is DJ Spooky?

DJ Spooky
DJ Spooky sums himself up in three words. "Artist, Writer, Musician." His art has been exhibited in the Whitney Biennial; the Ludwig Museum in Cologne, Germany; and The Andy Warhol Museum among others. He has written two books, Rhythm Science and Sound Unbound, which was released just this year. And on top of all that, DJ Spooky has created nine albums that critics and fans describe as "acid rap" and "illbient" music. He also created the score for the 1998 film Slam.
DJ Spooky on the Power of Film
Documentaries are the way we can tell truth to power. They exist in a world where how you tell a story can be just as powerful as the story itself. Jean Rouch's 1960 film "Chronicles of a Summer" is usually credited with starting cinema verite--looking at life as it's lived. Documentaries are still looking to that idea. We need it more than ever!

Triad Election: Triad Election "Hak se wui yi wo wai kwai (2006)" is Social Darwinism at it's best.
