Call for Entries: Celtx Against Malaria Students Challenge, December 31 Deadline!

Celtx, the leader in pre-production software, today announced the Celtx Against Malaria Students Challenge. In partnership with the Against Malaria Foundation, the initiative challenges high school, university, and film school students to get involved in the fight against malaria by creating a media project which addresses the global malaria issue and inspires others to donate money to the cause.

The Media Creation Challenge
Help save lives by putting your creativity and talent to use! Create a video, film, TV ad, comic book, music video, or any other type of media that will help educate the public about malaria and inspire others to donate $5 to buy a life-saving malaria bednet.

How to Get Involved
* Use Celtx media pre-production software (download free at http://www.celtx.com) to create an inspiring media project of any type (video, film, TV ad, music video, machinima, stageplay, etc.)

* Between October 1 and December 31, 2008 create your media project, tag it 'camstudentschallenge' and publish your project to the Celtx Against Malaria - Students Challenge website at http://pc.celtx.com/camstudentschallenge.

What Do I Get From It?
* Most importantly, the satisfaction of knowing that your work is helping to save lives.

And also...
* On January 15, 2009, creators of 3 different projects will receive the honor of determining the countries of distribution for 5,000 malaria bednets.
* Ten projects will be selected at random to receive a Celtx jacket and USB key.
* Select projects posted on the Celtx Against Malaria - Students Challenge page will be linked to and promoted on the Against Malaria and Celtx web sites.

Donations
Creating media isn't the only way to get involved. Anyone can visit the Against Malaria Foundation site and donate $5 to buy one bednet and help save a life.

We'll also tally up the donations made between October 1st and December 31st and the school with the most individual donators will be awarded a High Definition video camera courtesy of Celtx! (So remember to indicate your school name when making a donation).
