Executionchronicles.org seeks relelvant submissions to their website!

Executionchronicles.org is a new website that is both anti-death penalty and devoted to victims of hate crimes, and we're looking to air other videographers' and filmmakers' work.

What makes the site somewhat unusual is that a large part of its focus is on Mark Stroman, an inmate on death row who shot three men after 9/11, whom he mistakenly believed were Arabs, to avenge America. In an attempt to explore the anatomy of a hate crime, director Ilan Ziv, whose previous films examine genocide in Bosnia and Israeli /Palestinian violence, has interviewed nearly everyone connected to this capital case, from Stroman and his family to his victims and their families. His documentary, Execution Chronicles, will continue to follow Stroman's story until his execution or appeal.

This companion site strives to examine the many facets of hate crimes -- from the life-shattering impact on victims to the State-imposed death of perpetrators -- in order to gain insight into why such violence occurs. We have aired videotapes of Stroman speaking from death row along with the widow of his victim describing her loss. This week we hear from a Bangladeshi man who Stroman shot and partially blinded, who not only forgives him but is willing to communicate with him.

Our goal, however, is to very much broaden the focus to draw attention to other victims and to the thousands of activists battling racial, religious, or gender violence and intolerance, whether in Jasper, TX, Sarajevo, or the state of Gujarat in India. Each week we plan to highlight stories of hate crime survivors and their advocates and encourage them to post news articles, trial updates and videos, as well as meet fellow survivors and share their experiences online. In the near future we're airing footage of Ilan Ziv's interviews with both the perpetrators and victims of genocidal violence in Bosnia.

Executionchronicles.org is now seeking filmmakers and activists to submit video or film segments to broadcast on our site -- for full credit, of course-- with a hope to also interview either the filmmaker or the subject of the film.
