Lina Srivastava – Transmedia, Why Do Funders Think It’s Important?

Transmedia is here and funders are realizing its power. Changing technologies are changing the way we tell stories, create content and distribute our work. As filmmakers and storytellers, we must learn to create and speak across platforms. Join Lina Srivastava, a pioneer in transmedia activism, where media and storytelling promte social transformation, to learn about transmedia and to find out if it’s right for your project.  We’ll discuss how to create a transmedia project on a limited budget and hear about the growing number of funders and others who are jumping into this brave new world including the TFI New Media Fund, the NEA, the BAVC Producer’s Institute and others. Whether you’re new to transmedia or you’re fully immersed in it, this workshop is for you.
