June 16-26th: BAM CINEMAFEST 2011 EXCITING LINE-UP of DOCUMENTARIES




The 3rd annual BAMcinemaFest, a festival of American Independents, international discoveries and repertory gems has just announced their documentary line-up with many directors in attendance.

The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye (Marie Losier, US)
A portrait of legendary musician and artist Genesis P-Orridge of
Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV.

Dragonslayer (Triston Patterson)
A gorgeously shot, expressionistic portrait of Josh “Skreech” Sandoval, a professional yet poverty stricken So-Cal Skateboarder.

Elevate
First time Director Buford helms this moving documentary of four Senegalese teenagers with hoop dreams of playing in the NBA.

If A Tree Falls, the Story of the Earth Liberation Front (Marshall Curry)
The director of the Oscar-nominated documentary Street Fight trains his lens on the rise and fall of the radical environmental group which the FBI called America’s “number one domestic terrorist threat”
