April 30 - May 4: Southeast European Film Festival

The Southeast European Film Festival, now in its fourth year, is once again bringing a fabulous selection of films from Southeast Europe to Los Angeles. This festival, the only one of its kind in the US, aims to bring a portrait of the cultural diversity as well as the troubled past and uncertain future of this region to light in Los Angeles. This year’s program runs the gamut from experimental animation to hard-hitting documentary, with plenty to delight, teach, and move every audience.

The festival runs from April 30 to May 4, with screenings from April 30-May 3 at the Goethe Institut (5750 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 100, 90036) and closing night at the James Bridges Theatre on the UCLA campus.

Each screening is a double-feature, with weekday screenings (April 30, May 1 and the closing night gala on May 4) beginning at 6:30 pm, and weekend screenings (May 2 and 3) beginning at 3 pm. Each screening features a reception with wine and refreshments.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.itsmyseat.com.
