Call For Entries: The Bodhi International Film Festival
The Bodhi International Film Festival celebrates spirituality, nature, and humankind through engaging, creative, and sophisticated content in reference to spiritual enlightenment. The term spiritual enlightenment can be comprehended and portrayed in as many ways as there are minds to perceive the concept. The BodhiFest is looking for select content that have that simple “Awe-Ha!” moment to full-blown Nirvana and everything in between.
The BodhiFest will take place in the beauty of Malibu, California in June of 2011. The exact dates and venues are currently being secured.
Program Lengths
Features: 40+ minutes
Animation: All Lengths
Documentary: All Lengths
Shorts: 12+ to 40 minutes
Short-Shorts: 3+ to 12 minutes
Experimental: 3+ to 20 minutes
Guidelines:
1. Entry fees are nonrefundable.
2. Fees are only payable through Paypal.
3. More than one entry may be submitted per category or within multiple categories.
4. Each submission must be accompanied by its own entry form.
5. Each submission must be accompanied by separate entry fee.
6. The appropriate submission fee must accompany each submission.
7. All submissions must be DVDs in NTSC format.
8. Per submission: 2 DVDs of the work, formatted for multi-zone or for Zone 1 (North America), labeled with the work’s title, category, running time, director’s name, phone number, and email address.
9. Entries will not be accepted for preview on any other format.
10. DVD format, please double check that your DVD plays in its entirety on consumer DVD players. Also, please do not put adhesive labels on the disc unless it is a professional output job, and if burning yourself, use a permanent marker to write necessary info.
11. Entrants must assume all responsibility for clearing submission DVDs through U.S. and foreign customs officials.
12. All person or persons submitting must hold all necessary rights for the submission of the film, as well as all necessary clearances for public exhibition.
13. Films must be available for screening during the BodhiFest.
14. All titles produced in languages other than English must have legible English subtitles.
15. Non-English entries submitted without subtitles are not eligible.
16. Filmmakers must assume shipping costs of all materials, including submission DVD(s).
17. Collect or COD shipments will not be accepted.

19. The number of screenings, days and venues are at the sole discretion of the BodhiFest.
20. All submissions must include the following:
a) 2 DVDs in NTSC format (please test before sending)
b) Completed submission form
c) Appropriate submission fee
d) All DVD’s must be clearly labeled with the film’s title, the filmmaker’s contact information, time and category.
e) One entry per envelope
