What: The Final Inch focuses on the efforts to eradicate Polio in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. The film sheds light on the fact that while the developed world has had the Polio vaccine for nearly 50 years, the rest of the world is still suffering from Polio. The Final Inch highlights the public health workers and volunteers fighting the disease in these countries as well as people suffering from this preventable disease.

Truth: As long as a single child remains infected, children in all countries are at risk of contracting polio. Between 2003 and 2005, 25 previously polio-free countries were re-infected due to imports of the virus.—World Health Organization
