Description

OLLIE Youth Media is the Oregon Learning Lab for Information Education, a youth media outreach program of Portland Community Media and MetroEast Community Media.

OLLIE partners with schools, after school-programs, and community-based organizations to offer workshops designed to teach the basics of media production to young people grades 5-12 in Multnomah County. Students work in small groups to create short videos about classroom and community subjects. The finished projects are broadcast on television, posted to on our website, screened in the community, and given to the students on DVD.
