Small Schools Workshop
Assists large schools and school districts in the creation of smaller and more personalized learning environments. This may entail restructuring existing public schools into "schools within schools," as well as creation of new kinds of public schools, charters, alternative schools and smaller neighborhood schools. Smaller schools mean more choices for parents and kids, more opportunity for teachers to know their students well, and safer, more supportive learning communities.Specific services or resources we offer include:Professional development for teachers and administrators in areas of restructuring, curriculum design, and team building. We offer help to schools and communities in reshaping their overcrowded schools. We offer special events, training and technical assistance to schools and districts seeking to secure smaller and more personalized schools and to turn around underperforming schools.
