Youth
I want to make an impact with youth media.
Welcome to our community! MediaRights supports your efforts to promote and create youth media. If you want to promote your work and make an impact, you've come to the right place!
Distribute youth media. Thousands of educators, activists and nonprofits visit this site and our Youth Media Distribution site, searching for the perfect film for their lesson plan or campaign. By listing your work for free in our Youth Media database, they'll be able to find your film and buy it from you or your distributor. You can also promote your projects to potential distributors and collaborators by posting your works-in-progress.
Make an impact. Do you want to use your media to change the world? Check out the Youth Media Distribution Toolkit and learn how to do everything from clearing appearance releases to organizing a screening. Do you help young people produce their own film, video, radio or new media projects? Get them to think about audience, impact, copyright and other outreach imperatives through the Youth Media Distribution Instructors' Toolkit. Learn by example: MediaRights News and YMDi Talk feature the latest success stories from cutting-edge youth filmmakers, activists and educators.
Find partners. Wondering what other youth, filmmakers, activists and nonprofits care about the issues that are most important to you? Search our database of over 10,000 members and over 2,000 organizations to find potential collaborators, funders and outreach partners.
Find youth-produced media. Looking for media to enhance your curricula? Search our Youth Media database and find media by youth from around the world. Check out the Media That Matters Film Festival for the best in youth-produced shorts.
Let us do the work. Submit your short to the Media That Matters Film Festival and your project can reach an audience of millions through a whole year of online streaming, national TV broadcasts, community screenings and DVD distribution. You can even win $1,000 for your outreach campaign.
Get started. Become a member to get our monthly newsletter and list your film!
