JamesFortier
James Fortier is a Métis-Ojibway filmmaker originally from Canada. He now works and resides in the Bay Area. He is the writer and associate producer for Waasa Inaabidaa: We Look In All Directions, a six hour documentary sereies about the Ojibwe people for PBS in Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin. He also wrote, produced, and directed Voices For the Land, and environmental documentary produced for 1000 Friends of Minnesota and WDSE-TV PBS Eight in Dultuh, MN. He is thedirector, writer, and DP for the ITVS-PBS documentary Alcatraz Is Not An Island which will air on PBS nationally in Novemebr, 2002.
